In Ghana, when Muslims have gone through the 1-month mandatory fasting season and are breaking, we are given a National holiday to celebrate the feast of being able to go through the exercise without hitches.

The big day is selected based on the sighting of the moon I am told.

Today is one of such days and I know plenty food will be provided by my Muslim friends.

Because of the holiday accompanying the feast, I wish I know the one who is responsible for sigthing the moon. I would have suggested for him to announce such once every three months. That could afford me some 4 additional days to my annual leave. Someone should link me up.

  1. I do like the way you have framed this specific problem plus it does indeed offer me personally some fodder for consideration. On the other hand, through just what I have observed, I simply just hope when the actual remarks stack on that people continue to be on point and not get started upon a soap box associated with some other news du jour. All the same, thank you for this fantastic point and though I do not really agree with it in totality, I regard the point of view.
