I will forever be grateful to my dad ex-officer Kwame Fredua (WO 1) for his advise to get a profession before joining the military if I desire. While in the barracks, I just couldn’t resist the temptation to wear the apparels of the officers who respect every detail of the laws of the country.
After university, I chose to remain a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Biomedical Scientist in UK) even though I could have still joined the force.
I Just saw an advert which in my view confirms what the force stands for.
The Ghana Armed Forces is recruiting professionals and I was so happy they gave vivid understanding of ACT 857 Part 1, while the University of Ghana Medical School and some Professors found difficult to appreviate and struggled to understand. Check the qualification for Biomedical Scientist! They even showed that, nomenclature does not change what the law says. If not for age, I would have considered working in an environment where the law is respected. I am not saying everyone is comfortable ooo.
