A ride through the Mole National Park ended with disappointment since the health researchers did not see many different animals for the 3-hour journey they embarked on. The disappointment was peaked when the most racist behaviour was exhibited at the Mole Motel in the park by no other person than the manager on the 28th of October 2017. A clear sign that preference is given to light skin people over their dark-colored skin personalities no matter your status. Maybe they give the currencies that probably maintain the social activities and also pay the pockets. But it is very unfortunate for you to be talked to in such a racist manner in your own country.<\/p>\n
Some of us would understand if we travel and such inhumane statements and attitudes are meted to us. \u201cIf you were e<\/em>ven light <\/em><\/strong>coloured skin people, I know you will comport yourselves but for <\/em>blacks, you will mess up\u201d<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Is that how to refuse a group of people who have decided to sit by your poolside to chat and eat with only 5 out of 25 who decided to pay and swim? Definitely not! In my visit to the Lincoln Zoo, The Science and Museum, and other three prominent places in Chicago, other places in Washington including the White House and the Capitol Hill, I never got the sense of guards and aids giving preference to citizens or tourist from other Nations. I have again had the privilege to tour some other places in other countries like Australia, Netherlands, and Germany without prior booking but was received well to even want to go back anytime I get the chance.<\/p>\n So it was disgusting when in my own country, someone had the gut to blurt to a group of scientists and researchers that because of the color of our skin, we will not comport ourselves. I think if we had identified ourselves properly, the tone and choice of words would have changed. No wonder people always walk showing who they are before some uncultured people speak ill of them.<\/p>\n We have a long way to go as a nation. People we put in-charge of places of attraction are nation wreckers just as those who steal from the national purse. In fact, the \u201cstealers” might be better since they may not leave an indelible mark in the minds of people who want to patronize the tourism industry.<\/p>\n I will not be surprised the kind of mindset the manager gives to the \u201clight-skinned\u201d people who visit the place. Because, when those who wanted to swim, left and later went as individuals and got into the pool, the \u201clight-skinned\u201d people left the pool and never swam again. What a world!. Slavery in your own country? What else, can I say since I am dark skinned which I am proud of.<\/p>\n Zaini Guest House The park would have been fun devoid of some of the things I have spoken about. We need to get rid of such elements from our system if tourism is to be taken seriously. At the end of the day, I doff my hat to the manager of the Park who even in his lectures, I got a lot from visiting the museum and knowing about what to expect in the various seasons of the year. \nWe were a group of individuals who were interested to visit the park at one of our leisures. We, therefore, decided to put ourselves together into one bus since that by far was cheaper than each person driving. That definitely will present us as a group of people but in strict terms, we were each responsible for our own actions as adults. So if even, because we all appeared at the park in one vehicle, we will be seen as a group and such groupings are not allowed into the motel without prior booking, the least I expect from a manager or a care-taker is to make the client understand in well-mannered language than being racist irrespective of who you are talking to.<\/p>\n
\nI think if we had taken the choice of paying $ 45\/person to swim at the Zaini Guest house, we would have been received well by cultured people because they may know the value of their customers.<\/p>\n
