\nThe message made the whole meeting of Commonwealth Nations in the UK come as a flashback. A friend who participated in a conference of researchers that matter in malaria research and the fight against the menace drew attention to a speech of the President of Ghana at the Commonwealth Nation\u2019s meeting in April 2018 (Myjoyonline<\/a>). Apparently, he spoke about malaria control in Ghana and the plans for the implementation of the trial of the malaria vaccine project using the Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI). At the very same time, the manageress of the National Malaria Control Program, Ghana, was in Dakar, Senegal.
\nLooking at the entourage that graced the Commonwealth meeting, one would think that their selection is based on who is going to be involved in the business of the meeting because it was to discuss issues in reality. Who did the protocol selection of representatives from Ghana for the Commonwealth meeting? Was it known that malaria control issues would be discussed for the President to speak about? Was it impromptu? If it was, how difficult was it for the programme’s manageress to be fetched in all urgency to be present to grace the occasion in order not to embarrass the President during matters for discussion?
\nOne may say that the Minister of Health, the Director General of Ghana Health Services and others were present to deal with the matter. I will not answer such people because it will be obvious their understanding of health programs is questionable.
\nI would not want to suspect the units and departments in the health agencies are disjointed and operate with disharmony. It is business for the nation and if individuals run it differently to suit their whims and caprices, we will plunge the health system into a ditch. Use the brains and expertise that the nation has. Don\u2019t say, I did not say it oo. I do not have a\u00a0power of a \u201csticker”.<\/p>\n
