{"id":1578,"date":"2018-08-15T00:11:51","date_gmt":"2018-08-15T00:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adugyasidennis.wordpress.com\/?p=1412"},"modified":"2018-08-15T00:11:51","modified_gmt":"2018-08-15T00:11:51","slug":"exposing-citizens-to-danger-who-is-responsible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adugyasidennis.com\/index.php\/2018\/08\/15\/exposing-citizens-to-danger-who-is-responsible\/","title":{"rendered":"Exposing citizens to danger: who is responsible?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The electricity pole in the middle of the road from <strong>Premuase<\/strong> through Kajaji to Kojokrom, in the Sene West District of the\u00a0 Brong Ahafo Region is a death trap to passengers of the road.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">I wish the state, companies and individuals when given contracts to execute, will think of the life of the citizens in whatever they do.\u00a0 On countless occasions, I have encountered events from road, building and electrification contractors that clearly show that no one cares about\u00a0the danger people suffer from during and after the execution of projects.\u00a0 It is even worse with those who give approval after inspection before handing over of projects to the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">I recently plied the Atebubu-Kwame Danso to Kojo Krom road to use the Freedom and Justice Ferry to Kete\u00a0Krachi. The assignment was in such a way that when needful,\u00a0 one might not be able to avoid travelling in the night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">At almost 150 metres to a curve and in the middle of the road,\u00a0 we saw a structure and had to slow down.\u00a0 We only got closer to see it was actually an electric pole extending electricity across and in the middle of the road. For a first time traveller on the road, our vehicle could just have run into it and one can imagine what could happen when such high tension pole breaks.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1413\" src=\"https:\/\/adugyasidennis.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/08\/electricity-pole-middlerd.jpg\" alt=\"ELECTRICITY POLE MIDDLERD\" width=\"1080\" height=\"607\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Is it worth exposing passengers and the public to such extreme danger? Can&#8217;t construction be done in a safe manner without exposing the citizenry to danger? Who is to watch that people are safe after they sign contracts to be executed?\u00a0 We must stay alive to use the roads, buildings, electricity and all deliverable from constructions.
