One of the challenging times is when your wants and needs are not met but you still have to be committed to your faith. Paying tithe is an act of faith and covenant between you and your God. I never use my tithe to help the poor and needy. I rather will use part of what I am keeping to help them. None of these have ever been enough if even you decide to give all out.
\nParticularly for this month when some things we use at home have not been met and thinking the tithes could have mitigated, we still let it go because faithful is He that we are giving to as our faith determines.
\nWe are encouraged in doing this because of what His word says and examples of testimony from some people. One of such which is current, I will share to encourage all who think tithing is antiquated and should be abolished.
\nHe decided to build a mission house for the Church of Pentecost in rural Ghana. The building which took not long to put up with an estimated cost of Ghc 200,000, was commissioned in December 2019. In addition to this for two years, he was giving a corporate tithe of Ghc 10,000 every month.
\nIn November 2019, those who order raw materials for his company inadvertently made a huge order. This almost collapsed the finances of the company because the amount he needed to pay for the order was huge. He had also installed new equipment and that needed to be serviced as he worked and any delay in raising the money to pay for the installment could lock the factory equipment.
\nIn all these, he had made a covenant not to use loans for his company simply because the Church he belongs to does not use loans for its projects. He was approached by one of the commercial banks to get a loan while going through the trying moments but he stuck to the covenant.<\/p>\n
\nNow the breakthrough :<\/p>\n
In going through the trying moments, Coronavirus Disease 2019 broke in China in December 2019. It has almost spread throughout the world and Ghana was not also spared. Two cases were recorded in March 2019 and one thing led to the other with all the lockdowns and restrictions.
\nMost factories around the world ceased production and those who even did were not operating at optimum capacity. In fact, some even had to switch to produce things to help their countries fight the pandemic. International borders were difficult to penetrate.
\nThis was the time that the production of this man’s company shot by almost five times their regular production capacity. Demand was huge because the bigger companies were not having enough raw materials for optimum production. Some of the directives by the government to ease the burden restrictions brought on the populace particularly in Accra and Kumasi made people go after his products. Simply because they were food products that the government and others needed to offer as part of donations.
\nThroughout his business, he had desired to penetrate the market in Ashanti Region, particularly Kumasi, and was never successful because the people in charge indicated that they only promote brands and not products from the unknown companies (babes) in the industry. But this time, he was sought for and the promoters were begging to pay cash to get his products because the demand was huge. It had already entered the homes of people through the donations and they needed the brand.
\nThe equipment which was to be paid off in 24 months was done in 18 months without the loan. Another company has agreed to put up another factory for him purposely for another food product right in Ghana.
\nWhat has this man seen that he is so committed to paying tithes no matter the challenges? Maybe this I have shared is the tip of the icebergs.<\/p>\n
\nThe other that will keep motivating me to play my role in service to God is this man who is not a member of the church of Pentecost but has decided to build a church auditorium at the cost of Ghc 1,000,000 in another rural area in Ghana. He is furnishing it with chairs and instruments. He has promised to pay the electricity bills for the air-conditions he is installing. He came in with everything from scratch and was not interested to use even the blocks we had made earlier. That has afforded us the opportunity to plan the start of a mission house for the man of God who will serve in that town.<\/p>\n
\nYou cannot have the experience of the benefits of tithing unless you commit and payout of your faith. Try God. I will not share my “baby” breakthroughs but I know when I accumulate, the jaw-breaking ones will not have space even on social media.
\nGod is real. Tithing is still an act of faith and has not passed. Do not be deceived in supporting God’s work.
