He is always a subject of controversial discussions and that is not to end now. Surrounding the issues, His death, resurrection, and existence is also a matter worthy of consideration.<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div><b>Historical<\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>Birth and family: <\/u>Historians and scholars have no doubt Jesus Christ ever existed on the face of the earth. His existence was never a myth, conspiracy, or hallucination. He was born to a father called Joseph (a carpenter) and a mother called Mary (the virgin). He was not the only child of the parents but had siblings.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The New Testament names\u00a0a) <b>James the Just<\/b>, b) Joseph (Joses),\u00a0c) <b>Simon<\/b>, and d) Jude(Judas) as the brothers (Greek adelphoi) of Jesus (Mark 6:3, Matthew 13:55, John 7:3, Acts 1:13, 1 Corinthians 9:5).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">No evidence suggests that Jesus was a twin as some claim to support the fact that one died and the other resurfaced as He was resurrected.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>Other sources (From the Quran)<\/u>: The existence of Jesus is confirmed by other sources of documents or records including the Quran. The Quran accepts the existence of Jesus Christ and in fact as the best Prophet to have lived the face of the earth. The Quran does confirm the virgin birth of Jesus. Some miracles that the Bible does not capture are mentioned by the Quran to have been done by Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">From an early age Allah blessed Jesus with the ability to perform many miracles, which included curing people with illnesses, giving life to the dead and speaking from birth.<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><i>So she pointed to him. They said, \u201cHow can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?\u201d He (Jesus) said, \u201cIndeed, I am the servant of Allah\u2026\u201d (19: 29-30).<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><i>\u201c\u2026. I can cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead\u2026 All by the permission of Allah.\u201d<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><i>Quran 3:49<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><i>In Sura al-Maidah 5:110, &#8220;And when thou createst out of the clay, by My leave as the likeness of a bird, and thou breathest into it and it is a bird by my leave.&#8221;<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><i>The same is claimed in Sura al-&#8216;Imran 3:49, &#8220;I have come to you with a sign from your Lord I will create for you out of clay as likeness of a bird; and it will be a bird by the leave of God.&#8221;<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><i>Al-Tabari (7:127) says that Christ created birds out of clay when He was a child.<\/i><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It must be added that the Quran however does not accept the deity, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>The death of Jesus Christ<\/u><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jesus was killed like a sinner and a criminal. The place of crucifixion exists in history and it is a known place.<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>In his book, Jesus: A revolutionary biography, page 145 says &#8220;Jesus death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate is as sure as anything historical can ever be&#8221; (John Dominic Crossan, a major critic of Christianity).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Jarod Ludman, an anti-Christian German scholar. He said regarding the death of Christ, \u201cThe death of Christ as a result of the crucifixion does not need to be discussed, because it is a certainty.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In Jesus and Judaism, he says &#8220;almost indisputable facts about Jesus life&#8221; page 11 (E P Sanders). There is no doubt Jesus was born and His death was confirmed.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">One thing critically confirming the death of Jesus was that the tomb in which He was buried was known and existed.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jesus did not go into a coma and later rose up. Matthew 27:31-48 and Psalm 22 describe the death of Christ, the Messiah. The death of Christ is mentioned over 150 times in the New Testament. Jesus Christ was the one who was crucified, and not another person who was made to look like him.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the death of Christ (https:\/\/theway.i-am.site\/death-of-christ-on-the-cross-and-his-resurrection-are-they-facts-or-inventions\/?gclid=CjwKCAjw3pWDBhB3EiwAV1c5rLN1W22m7EwCxSttGPbQijgetETIrt_xsQ2XCzCEQJWWIJLmpmf_YBoCQB0QAvD_BwE),<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div><b>There are indications of the death of Christ on the cross in the writings of Jewish and Roman historians from the first century, from the year 40 \u2013 90 A.D.<\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The Jewish historian Josephus referred to Jesus in his book Antiquities of the Jews XVIII and said, \u201cThere was a wise man at that time named Jesus who did wonderful deeds, but Pilate condemned him to death on the cross. But his disciples did not desert him, because he appeared to them on the third day.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The Roman historian Tacitus referred in 115 A.D. to the founder of the Christian movement having been executed in the time of Pontius Pilate.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">To further confirm that Christ died on the cross, I want to mention two other incidents from the New Testament:<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>When the soldier came to break the legs of the two men who had been crucified with Jesus to ensure that they would not be able to breathe and thus would die quickly.\u00a0<u>John 19:33<\/u>\u00a0says, \u201cBut when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>When a man called Joseph came to ask for the body of Jesus after his crucifixion,\u00a0<i>\u201cPilate was surprised that he was already dead. He called the centurion and asked him if he had been dead for some time.\u00a0 When Pilate was informed by the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.\u201d (Mark 15:44-45)<\/i><b>.\u00a0<\/b>In other words, when he knew that Jesus had died since the centurion had gone and confirmed that Christ had died.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>The resurrection of Jesus Christ<\/u><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The tomb in which Jesus was buried was empty and the authorities were worried about the significance and affirmation of the claims of Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">If we deny the resurrection of Christ, the whole Christian faith falls apart, as 1 Corinthians 15:17 says,<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u201cAnd if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins.\u201d<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jesus Appeared to Mary and the Disciples. There are facts that point to the fact historically that Jesus resurrected after death.<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>Jesus died by crucifixion. Yes, this is about as historically certain of a fact as we have. Yes, scholars from\u00a0<i>all<\/i>\u00a0beliefs and sides of the spectrum agree on this. No, you cannot believe that Jesus never existed or that he did not die in this manner unless you want to be deemed an eccentric Internet conspiracy theorist.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Jesus\u2019 disciples genuinely believed that they encountered the resurrected Jesus to the point that they were willing to die for this belief, and so were many others. This fact has already been discussed in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/p2c.com\/students\/articles\/liars-make-poor-martyrs\/\" rev=\"en_rl_none\">prior posts<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Paul, an enemy of Christianity who had Christians arrested and killed, also genuinely believed he encountered the resurrected Jesus to the point of changing his entire belief system and becoming a Christian missionary, also being willing to die for this belief.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Jesus\u2019 brother James,\u00a0a skeptic who did not believe in Jesus,\u00a0also believed he encountered the resurrected Jesus and\u00a0became one of the primary leaders of the Christian church in Jerusalem, and was willing to die for this belief.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The tomb where the crucified Jesus was buried was found empty three days later. This claim is the most contested of the five, but still is widely agreed upon. Disagreements on this point are purely speculative.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">What people use to disprove the resurrection<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>Jesus\u2019 disciples all experienced hallucinations caused by distress and\/or expectation.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Multiple hallucinations is not known to occur. Even with that, the description of the people differ in an instant when is has been reported among a group of 7000 people who had gathered at a particular place praying and claimed to have seen the virgin Mary on the cloud. It is\u00a0<i>highly<\/i>\u00a0implausible that all of Jesus\u2019 disciples had multiple hallucinations at the same time in the same place witnessing the same events involving their senses of sight, sound\u00a0<i>and<\/i>\u00a0touch all at once. It is also\u00a0<i>highly<\/i>\u00a0implausible that Paul, an enemy of Christianity, experienced any such distress or grief on his way to arrest and kill more followers of Jesus in Damascus (Acts 9). The disciples were not expecting Jesus to be resurrected, so this is implausible as well. Many assumptions are also made here.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>Jesus didn\u2019t actually die. He survived the crucifixion and escaped the tomb three days later.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The likelihood of surviving crucifixion is remarkably low, and the Romans were very efficient at it. They broke the victims\u2019 legs to ensure their death, and we\u2019re told they did not break Jesus\u2019 legs because he was already dead. He was then stabbed in the side by a spear to make sure.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>Jesus\u2019 disciples stole the body<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is also implausible because a Roman guard was posted outside of the tomb with a large stone\u00a0blocking the cave.<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<div><b>Biblical Evidence<\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Bible is no doubt on the resurrection<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 Cor 15:1-11<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The evidence of the resurrected Christ is the foundation of our Christian faith. (1 Cor 15:14)<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is evident that His own brothers did not believe in Him<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;For even his own brothers did not believe in him.&#8221; (John 7:5)<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8230; my brothers are those who do the will of God (Mark 3:31-33)<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">But James was later ready to die for the faith in the resurrected Christ.<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<div><b>The Encounter by the Apostles in ACTS<\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The promised power in ACTS on the day of Pentecost shows that what He promised came to pass. The evidence of speaking in tongues by the entrance of the Holy Spirit by whom we have been sealed for salvation tells that Jesus is alive.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The disciples demonstrated the power and even the shadow of Peter was found to heal as he passed by the sick (Acts 5:15).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">They were ready to die for the one in whom they have believed.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acts 10 accounts for how the grace poured out on the day of Pentecost is for all and not only the Jews.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paul, the persecutor turned and proclaimed the news.<\/div>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<div><b>My encounter and experience<\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Personally, it is gratifying to know that I am Christian and a beneficiary of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>He forgave me of my sins and gave me hope<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He healed me and<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He showed\/shows up when I called\/calls. In the name of Jesus and things vanish. He reveals Himself when we call<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He provides when I need and calls<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He favours and graces me<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He perfects my weaknesses and strengthens me with his power<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He sent the companion that is teaching me into the truth<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>He enlightens me in His word when I read.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The evidence of the death and resurrection of Christ is compelling and point to the fact that He LIVES.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus Christ is alive and ever lived on the face of this earth.
