<\/p>\nI was privileged to visit Pastor Reuben and Mrs. Vicentia Mensah Adrakpanya prior to the retirement service in their honour. The couple has served for thirty-one years in the vineyard of the most high for the Church of Pentecost.<\/p>\n
They served the church at the following duty stations: at Breman Asikuma (1995-2001), Sefwi Wiawso (2001-2006). Kintampo West (2006-2008), Kintampo New Town (2008-2012), Kadjebi (2012-2017), Ablekuma New Town (2017-2021), where they would draw down the curtain on their work as a full-time minister this year (https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/thecophq\/photos\/a.156032931081670\/4555652247786361\/).<\/p>\n

During my visit to the couple, Mrs. Vicentia Mensah Adrakpanya enquired about the well-being of my family and the response led from one thing to another. It was assuring to know that the God of old is still in the miracle business attending to the needs of His people. All that was required was for one to have faith and accept His word.<\/p>\n
It was clear that the thirty-one years of service have been a demonstration of faith and the gift of God for healing and procreation. She has the word of God that kids even as siblings look for their friends within. So by that, it is better to have two kids of the same sex (2 boys or 2 girls) or in whatever number, pairs of each of the sexes (2 boys and 2 girls in multiples). This is just by the way.<\/p>\n
Strong to these words as she received, the power of God has been demonstrated through her in getting couples who hitherto had difficulty to procreate to get their own children. You cannot remain barren or have difficulty with childbearing when you cross her path. Many were the experiences but I will capture a few that I remember from our conversation.<\/p>\n
At one of her stations, the district women’s leader who was a young lady married for three years had no child. They had tried several ties and had not been successful to procreate. Ms. Vicentia asked within her many questions as to why God allows such things for people to mock Christians. She was of the opinion that such stories make many think it is better to be pregnant before marriage. A situation that is making pre-marital sex predominant among Christians. She went on her knees with prayers and fasting interceding for the Women’s leader. Within that same month, the woman who had not been successful in getting pregnant after three years in marriage took seed. She further gave birth without stress as she prayed and God honoured her words.<\/p>\n
Similarly, a deacon had come with someone to shave the hair of Pastor at the mission’s house. In a conversation with the man, Maa Vincentia felt the urge to ask of her wife and kids. Apparently, since they married for the past three years, the family has been pestering them on issues of child-bearing and they are further up. She stretched her hand in faith and told the man that “God will do it”. The man received it by faith and wanted to go home and bring the wife for prayers but Maa Vicentia said no. The faith to receive what God was about to do was enough. As usual, the family conceived that very month and they were glorified with children in the family.<\/p>\n
Maa Vicentia in one of her stations recounts about a woman who sold vegetables. Every time she went to buy items, she saw a child that was almost qualified to be her sister. She was about 13 years. From her look, one would have expected her to have younger children with her but none were seen anytime Maa Viicentia went to buy items to cook. She gathered the urge to seek permission to talk to her. The seller readily agreed to talk to her at the convenience of the Pastor’s wife. Even though she was a presbyterian, she had no problem going to the mission’s house of Ma Vincetia to have the discussion. When she inquired about her children, the woman had been married with only one girl for more than 13 years. They had tried severally to conceive and no amount of effort made it possible to bear more children. She had given up on her quest to make babies. They prayed together and Maa Viicentia assured her that God will perform. She took to her prayers and fasting. To the glory of God, the woman conceived that very month and delivered to the amazement of all. Maa Vincentia was made an honourable person at the naming ceremony in the Presby Church in the town.<\/p>\n
In a similar situation, one of the church members of Maa Vicentia had four boys and one girl. The quest for a girl had led to the number of boys she had at each childbirth. She prayed with her after fasting and prayers over weeks and the woman conceived that very month. She delivered a baby girl to the glory of God. Her praise at thanksgiving made everyone know that the God we serve was still alive.<\/p>\n
Maa Vicentia mentioned about an instant healing that God bless a family with after praying with them on phone. A child less than 10 years had a catheter inserted to assist him to urinate. One morning, the mother found him paralyzed in addition to the previous predicament. At the dawn of the same day the child was paralyzed, Maa Vicentia had serious thoughts of the mother of the child on her mind. She immediately called the mother when dawn broke. The mother started crying as soon as she picked the call and narrated her story and that of the boy. Maa Vicentia calmed her down and as usual, assured her that God will perform. She asked her to place her right hand on the child while on the call. They prayed. Five minutes after the prayers, the mother called back jubilating on phone. The boy had felt the urge to urinate and asked them to carry him to the washroom. He did not want to use the catheter. While urinating, the catheter was flushed out and he regained strength to be on his feet. The mother’s jubilation was about the instant healing to take aways her troubles. That she had always heard about instant healing and was happy to experience it when they prayed.<\/p>\n
The gift of God is like wine which gets stronger and sharper as it ages. I urge as many as possible to tap into the anointing of this woman of God. Her faith is beyond measure but now that she is on retirement, I know she will do more than God has used her while in full-time ministry.<\/p>\n
She resigned from Prison’s Service to join her husband in full-time ministry and I am not surprised at how she helped to set the captives free. She knew how those in captivity were and the help and reformation they needed. God gives us all a measure to help His creation.<\/p>\n
Ask her about dressing and you will know that God cares about what you wear and how you wear it.<\/p>\n
Investing in the life of this family is a blessing and only a few know this secret.<\/p>\n
