The Ghanaian Saturday morning swept a cool breeze of sensational memories as I came across these kids. Memories of my childhood suddenly came to life as I remember how delightful every Saturdays with friends were like. We roamed the entire township till dusk.<\/span><\/span>\nReturning home required its own strand of hide and seek my brother and I played with Mom and by the time she realized, we were at home, bathed and changed into some neat clothes.
On a typically unlucky day, she would spot us from afar approaching home. She would grab us straight into the pan (what you'd call bath tub) and bath us with our sponge which always felt different in Mom's hands.<\/span>\nYes, Mom never caned us, and the thought of our delightful adventures made us forget her scolds and advices. However, the thought of Mom bathing us when we return home either made us come home early or at least, not too dirty so that we wouldn't have to endure her lovely scrubbing ordeal.<\/span><\/pre>\n
I loved her and didn’t like her to be worried all the time. So, I decided to turn a new leaf. Then, things started changing as well. Some for the good. Some, not for the so good. But surely, there was a change.<\/span><\/p>\n
Le samedi matin Ghan\u00e9en a balay\u00e9 une brise fra\u00eeche de souvenirs sensationnels lorsque j\u2019ai rencontr\u00e9 ces enfants. Les souvenirs de mon enfance ont soudainement pris vie tellement que je me souviens \u00e0 quel point tous les samedis entre amis \u00e9taient d\u00e9licieux. Nous avons parcouru toute la ville jusqu’au cr\u00e9puscule.<\/p>\n
Le retour \u00e0 la maison n\u00e9cessitait son propre volet de cache-cache, mon fr\u00e8re et moi avons jou\u00e9 avec maman de sorte qu’au moment o\u00f9 elle s’en rend compte, nous \u00e9tions \u00e0 la maison, baign\u00e9s et enfil\u00e9s dans des v\u00eatements soign\u00e9s et propres.<\/p>\n
Des jours typiquement malchanceux, elle nous apercevait de loin en approchant de la maison. Elle nous attrapait directement dans ce que vous appelleriez une baignoire et nous baignait avec notre \u00e9ponge qui se sentait toujours diff\u00e9rente dans les mains de maman.<\/p>\n
Oui, maman ne nous a jamais donn\u00e9 la bastonnade. En plus, la pens\u00e9e de nos d\u00e9licieuses aventures nous faisait oublier ses remontrances et ses conseils. Cependant, la pens\u00e9e de maman nous baignant quand nous rentrons \u00e0 la maison nous a fait rentrer t\u00f4t ou du moins pas trop sales pour que nous n’ayons pas \u00e0 endurer sa belle \u00e9preuve de r\u00e9curage.<\/p>\n
Je l’aimais et je n’aimais pas qu’elle se plaigne tout le temps. Alors, j’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de tourner une nouvelle page. Ensuite, les choses ont \u00e9galement commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 changer. Certains pour le bien. Certains, pas pour le si bon. Mais s\u00fbrement, il y avait des changements.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
