Did I hear a former minister claim he could not shut down noncomplying fuel stations because of politicians, pastors, and other parties loyalists?
\nWe have put leaders in place of the system to make sure the populace benefit. The laws have been made in such a way that, we elect leaders of parties to be in charge to execute the national agenda. These laws then give powers to the elected political leader to run the affairs appointing people who could help in governance.
\nIt would have been appropriate for any qualifying Ghanaian to be appointed but because of mistrust, people from the same party are almost selected to pursue the political agenda of the elected party.
\nI have a dream. That dream is to see when an incumbent government will appoint qualifying people from the opposition party or minority. If the laws are made as such, appointed people will have very minimal interruptions from those a former minister claim was the reason he could not clamp down non-complying fuel stations.
\nOne may say that they may work to make the incumbent government unpopular. Trust me that when we anticipate such evil, the laws could be made to remedy that. It will be the best way to go as a nation if development to the benefit of Ghanaians is our focus without interruptions from party folks and some influentials in society.
