This nonsense must stop. Authorities must protect our teachers at all levels and also remember that teachers equally have rights that must be revered.<\/p>\n
I was furious to the extent that I could not control my temper when I heard the news that some students in a particular High School in Ghana have threatened to beat teachers who punished them for using mobile phones in school. Mind you, it is illegal to use mobile phones while in school. What wrong has the teachers done by just enforcing the laws for the good of the students?<\/p>\n
I will not be surprised some elements looking fame will rise as human right activists to protect those miscreants from being punished. Because of such elements, I will not be surprised the Ghana Education Service might remain silent over the incidence.<\/p>\n
Why am I saying these? A teacher punished a student and the student went to report the matter to the police. The police effected the arrest of the teacher while in the line of duty in the school. No one could protect him. I wonder how other teachers would freely correct the students who have been put in their care?<\/p>\n
It is my wish that all must protect teachers and let them know that we revere them. They must be made to feel that, they are needed more than miscreants.<\/p>\n
