Supporters of various political parties, notably the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), during the political season tend to have some clashes.
The recent one is the peace walk that virtually turned into a war walk in the Odododiodoo constituency in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
The Church of Pentecost has launched a peace campaign towards the elections in Ghana. The agenda is to raise men and women who will be agents of peace and promote solely that.
It was refreshing to come across some leaders of the two main political parties sharing a bowl of food at a popular local restaurant in Kintampo (Nana Hemaa’s Fufu joint, Habitat). Such promotes peace and all individuals are urged to learn and practice. It is not about war but rather the sharing of opinions on the ideologies of the parties we support.
These are communication leaders who propagate the positions of the parties they represent on social media, radio and television platforms. They can have heated exchanges but the ultimate is that they are brothers and leave in peace with each other.
May we all be advised to learn from their ways and at all times be agents of peace for peace to prevail.
