This came to the notice of the authorities and they were beaten severely to curb the menace their hobby was causing.
The punishment even stimulated the boys to do more things greater than the previous ones. Bulling the other children was the other of the day for the two paddies.
The cases were this time reported to Ololo’s father, but if the social mothers weren’t able to revive him initially, what could the parents, who were farmers and always busy with their farming activities do to “straighten a bent stick”.
Ololo turned seven and was out of Kindergarten to lower primary. The attitude of the boy was proliferating till everybody lost control of him.
Just imagining at such a tender age, a boy has the idea of stoning his teachers whenever they speak evil about him or even use cane on him.
Repercussions of what one does affect everybody in the society. Ololo sent his behaviour to the house. It was disastrous. His main aim of doing bad in the house was to kill the animals walking around since he took delight in that. He never knew how to prepare meat to eat, but he was killing them for fun. Destroying of people’s food stuff was his major priority.
One day, Papa Nsiah noticed that his crops were destroyed by Ololo and he took the necessary action against his family by reporting to the traditional leaders.
It was one Friday morning when the chief’s messenger went to call Mr. Adu that he as wanted by the chief. He was also asked to come along with his son.
When he reached there, the message was very simple and straight forward. It was made clear to him what his son had done and for that matter, he was to pay for the cost.
As a matter of necessity, and for confirmation, Mr. Adu asked his son for the truth, and he said he was in the farm for hunting and not to destroy the crops. It was a coincidence. He managed to give some flimsy excuses to justify his stand.
Mr. Adu was made to pay for the cost and was also asked to take good care of his child to prevent him from disgrace in future. Ololo’s father asked of what was wrong with him and he proved adamant to the question.
