Can anyone convince me they are different? I don’t think so! With what I am hearing from some of the commentaries from the chiefs as the President tours the Upper West Region of Ghana compared to what some of them said to him when he was a presidential candidate.
I am not surprised because the way chiefs and other traditional leaders are selected is not different from how we select politicians. The politicians are never different. Even though chiefs are selected from a smaller royal group of people, the campaigning and lobbying exhibited by prospective candidates mimic what the politicians exhibit.
If not for selective amnesia and being diabolical, how can a chief in commending the current President, decide to only give the account of past leaders that pertain to the current and ruling political party leaving obvious gaps?
As we say, beware of politicians, I will want to add that people should equal not look beyond chiefs in this dispensation for they are similar to them.
