Ololo had only a few days to pack and report to school. The parents bought the required provisions and the other things needed on the prospectus.
On the last night that Ololo spent in their house and especially with his junior brother and probably on his bed, the mother called on him and gave him all sorts of advice. She hammered on the point that Ololo was to be aware of the kind of friends he made. She concluded by telling the son to remember that “misfortunes do not come in single spices but come in battalions and although the lizard nods always, doesn’t’ mean it agrees with whatever happening”.
Although the father was rich, he had no car so B.G has to wake early in the morning to board the car with the indication “goods only” because they were the cars that came there for cocoa to the big cities. And moreover, if you wanted to go straight without using the transits, they came for the farm products for export. When B.G reached the lorry station he was lucky to have the first cargo leaving for that morning.
Do you think Ololo will ever stop thinking having reached his long awaiting abode? B.G began his thoughts as he was in the cargo car. Tears of joy were flowing out his eyes and down his cheeks simply because he was leaving his mother and the rest of the family. He developed this love for the short time he stayed in the house. But he also realized that he was going to eat at any time of the day since he was going to be on his own. He can even choose to take four-course meals a day as he did in the McAllister’s Lodge and nobody will blame him. So he stopped and asked a man sitting by him of when they were going to reach the capital city? The man replied by saying that they have made three hours of the journey and were left with four to finish.
B.G wasn’t in the mood to eat anything when they reached Ntumtum. Passengers bought all sort of meals, but nothing pressed B.G to even buy an ice water which as usual everybody needs to at least make a two-hour journey.
The daydreamer B.G was asleep by the time the cargo car left Ntumtum.
