On the Kumasi to Cape Coast highway, from Assin Foso, I blasted two of my car tyres. I ran into a gorge that had been filled with rainwater. I can imagine what would have happened if night had fallen.
I was fortunate to be traveling with my brother-in-law in his car. I took his spare tyre and together with mine, I was able to fix the car to continue the journey.
We managed to get to the closest maintenance shop to mend the tires. At the vulcanizing shop, everyone around said, I burst the tyres because I am new on the road and did not know which spots I could suffer that accident.
Funny enough, I have seen a lot of accidents on that road and not sure how many old drivers are involved.
Must one know the road and where there are pot-holes to enjoy a safe ride? This must be a call to the road and safety commission than just rhetoric.
