It is usually surprising how people could mourn and end up becoming expired victims. Activities that are to be marked as solemn are handled in such a style that simple eyes could no more behold.
Recently, a video was circulating on social media at the funeral if a driver and how the friends who had gone to mourn with the family were displaying with their cars. You see in the video the accident that occurred when the driver who was doing the rough riding lost control and drove into the crowd that were under the tent. One did not see the end in the video, but people will not be surprised if it ended in tears and death of some innocent people who genuinely had gone to mourn.
A similar accident emerged from the black star and independence square in Accra. Two cars of the jubilant collided and the end was a disaster.
Just recently and as added to this post, mourners in a video were seen reversing on top speed and collided with a motor rider who was not part of the funeral they attended. It may equally not end well and some precious lives maybe sacrificed to bury the departed ones else one cannot understand why such attitudes even though can kill are never frowned upon at such functions.
We must all rake conscious effort to nip this attitude in the Bud and make progress to leave these accidents behind.
It is doable and it must start with us.
