Appointments with individuals who are involved in malaria research, collaboration, control, management and its elimination programmes, could not be honoured in the week of 15th-21st April 2018. This is largely due to the fact that most people involved in malaria-related work are en route to Dakar, Senegal for the 7th MIM Pan African Malaria Conference from 15th April to 20th April 2018. The event which started in 1997 is held once every four years. Scientists will present and discuss most of the works they have carried out to inform policy and decision making. The event this time too was made possible with sponsorship from several bodies. As usually done, travel grant awards were given to some selected scientists to support them to attend the meeting to present their research works.
